Elobau expands its range of ultrasonic sensors
Elobau now also offers ultrasound based sensors. Leutkirch's proximity sensor specialist extends its portfolio of additional technology. In its own words, elobau covers a wide range of measurement and monitoring tasks with five different types of ultrasonic sensors. Three of the five sensor types from the manufacturer are capable of IO-Link. That's how I offer the standard interface for Industrie 4.0. There is also an ATEX certified version and a special version for level measurement in mobile machines.
Possible measuring ranges up to 8 meters
Ultrasonic sensors transmit cyclically high-frequency sound pulses. The sound waves are reflected from the target object and subsequently converted to an electrical signal by the acoustic transducer in the transducer. Sound operation ensures recognition of objects regardless of their material. Even objects from reflective, matte and transparent surfaces are reliably detected. Depending on the version, ultrasonic sensors from elobau offer measuring ranges from 40 millimeters to 8 meters. The required switching distance can be parameterized by the user via IO-Link, the Teach-in or Teach-by-Wire buttons. The switching state is indicated by the LED on the encoder housing
2 operating modes, 2 body materials
3 versions, 6 outputs: Suitable for many applications
With three circular profiles, a stainless steel or plastic body, freely selectable operating modes such as a reflector sensor or a reflective latch with analogue and digital outputs, ultrasonic sensors from elobau can be used in various applications. From the recognition of objects through distance measurements to solid, liquid or powder detection, our ultrasonic sensors are a reliable data supplier even in the presence of moisture, dust and extreme temperatures.
