ACE cable insulators
Impact isolation, noise reduction and vibration isolation are becoming more and more important in our daily life. Rope insulators are ideal for bearings resistant to shocks and vibrations. They also meet military requirements such as MIL specifications. Thanks to the wide variety of possible design of rope isolators, they can isolate a wide range of different loads from vibrations. The WR, WRS and CR families are suitable for weights from a few grams to several tons and are absolutely maintenance-free.
Rope isolators are particularly useful in areas where other vibration isolators cannot be used due to extreme conditions such as heat or cold, acids, seawater, UV radiation, etc. Rope isolators offer particularly large usable spring travel, low natural frequencies, low resonance transmission and rapid amplitude drop in the event of shocks. In addition, they do not show any signs of fatigue after dynamic overload.
Applications
ACE's three new product lines are made of stainless steel ropes, have a special shape and, thanks to the friction between the individual wires, have above average damping for every application. Helical isolators, short helicoidal isolators and square isolators are suitable for shock and vibration impulses in a wide range of applications. They are suitable for a wide range of different applications and cover a considerable range of possible loads from around 300g to 2000kg. The low weight range is predestined for storing hard drives and measuring devices, while the high weight range is used, for example, for the transport of containers and machinery, among other things because, thanks to the use of more elements, there are practically no upper limits to the possibilities. This also applies to other areas of application, including vibration and shock isolation of electronic cabinets, pumps, compressors and all kinds of camera storage. These are used in autonomous cleaning machines, special film and television cameras and in modules installed in drones.
Technical characteristics
Components made of steel rope offer a particularly large usable spring travel, low natural frequencies, low resonance transmission and a rapid drop in amplitude during shocks. It is possible to use them in extreme temperatures and environmental conditions from -130 °C to 260 °C. In addition to the standard versions made of stainless steel wires and aluminum fasteners, users can optionally order complete stainless steel versions from ACE. Thanks to the noble material, they are heavier in direct alignment and have a higher resistance to corrosion, for example when used in salt water.
Variable mounting options
Fastening elements can be supplied with threaded or smooth holes. Some other combinations are also possible.
