Emergency shock absorbers provide designers with a highly effective and economical one-off solution for the effective protection of machines and equipment. They represent an interesting alternative to disposable and reusable structural shock absorbers and hydraulic safety shock absorbers. The new safety products from ACE are made of specially designed aluminum or steel tubes with an outer diameter of 87.5 mm for aluminum and 63 mm and 38 mm for steel. Ten basic types are offered as standard, with an energy absorption capacity in the event of an emergency stop ranging from 670 Nm/stroke to 11,200 Nm/stroke. The maximum stroke length of the components varies between 45 mm and 160 mm depending on the type, while low reaction forces from 13,000 N to 70,000 N make a decisive contribution to the safety of structures. In practice, these values ​​can be further increased by arranging emergency shock absorbers in series or parallel, if necessary to absorb even higher values ​​of energy per impact than those listed above.

Further advantages of these emergency shock absorbers, which have been developed using sophisticated test series, are easy retrofitting into existing equipment and quick replacement, thus minimizing downtime after an accident. In addition, the deformation of the element allows for an analysis of the accident event, which can ideally be prevented in the future.

NOTE 

The disposable damper must be replaced after every impact!!!
