Orbital X is a new generation of proven OMP and OMR hydraulic motors.

In May 2017, Danfoss informed its customers for the first time that it is starting a two-year conversion of OMP, OMR, DH and DS orbital engines. In June 2019, the announcement was made that the OMP and OMR engines were fully interchangeable with the new OMP X and OMR X engines.

Danfoss Power Solution has now begun the next phase of completing the conversion of the OMP and OMR engines to Orbital X. The OMP and OMR engines will be out of series production this year. For this reason, Danfoss offers a last purchase option until October 1, 2020 with an expected delivery date no later than December 31, 2020.

Some selected OMP and OMR engine types will remain in the production program. Spare parts will remain available until the end of 2027.
